We are extremely grateful to this group and our three community organizations who came together for two days of ALERRT Active Shooter training to help keep our school children and community safe. One exercise was performed at CMS while the second was at CHS.
ALERRT stands for Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training.
It is a research-based active shooter training that teaches Law Enforcement how to respond not only to an active shooter situation but to an active killer because not everyone uses a firearm.
We do classroom training and live fire training involving Air-Soft Weapons.
These training exercises are effective regardless of the location of an active shooter, resulting in our entire community benefiting from these exercises.
Words cannot adequately express how much we appreciate the coordinated efforts of the Crossett Police Department Crossett Fire Department Ashley County Sheriff's Office and Crossett School District. Thank you all for what you do for our kids and our community!
