Funddin2

Simmons First National Bank issued the following announcement on Feb. 25.

Thank you to the Simmons First Foundation for their recent donations to three worthy organizations in Southeast Arkansas. We are proud to partner with these local groups to continue the work being done in their community!

The Seark Concert Association was awarded $25,000 for their “Schools Majoring in the Arts” program, which addresses the need for high quality performing arts programming for students in southeast Arkansas at no charge to students.

The Foundation also awarded Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Family Services, Inc. $25,000 for their “Gym Renovation for Traumatized Youth” project. This donation will be used to purchase a new HVAC system to improve the quality of the gym area.

Finally, we joined the Centers for Youth and Families to award them $10,000 for their “Improving Outcomes for Youth Trauma Living in The Centers' Southeast Arkansas Residential Home in Monticello" project. This donation will be invested in updating the setting for mental health care as well as providing high-quality, specialized academic instruction.
