Holy Rosary Church – Stuttgart issued the following announcement Jan. 24.
(English in previous post)
Third Sunday of Ordinary Time, also called the Sunday of the Word of God.. Pope Francis introduced this day a few years ago to encourage all Catholics to reflect on the importance of reading the Scriptures and finding what the Bible, the written Word of God, says about how we should live.
But what is the best way to read the Bible? Do we have enough time to do that nowadays? Thanks to Ascension Press and Fray Sergio Serrano, OP, it's already very easy to do with a series of videos and podcasts called the Bible in a Year. In just 20-30 minutes each day, you'll hear a reading or readings of the Scriptures and then a practical application of God's Word to your life today. After 365 days, you will have read and reflect on the whole Bible! The good thing about this program is that you can start any day and go at your own pace. If you miss a day, it's okay; just carry on whenever you want. You can find more information in the following links, or simply search for “Bible in a Year” on Youtube, Facebook or your favorite podcast app. (There's a special Bible that uses the Fray Serrano that you can buy to read with it, but it's not necessary.. You can use your own Bible at home).
