University of Arkansas Monticello Athletics issued the following announcement on Dec. 5.
The University of Arkansas at Monticello men's basketball team looked good as ever as they take down Arkansas Tech University in Great American Conference home opener. The Weevils held the Wonder Boys to the very end of the match, eventually taking the victory, 58-55.
The first half was a full showcase of power for the Weevils as they took the lead over the Wonder Boys early in the half, and would hold that lead until the end of the half. Wesley Booker knocked down a 3-pointer to give UAM their biggest lead of the match at 9 points. The Weevils would finish out the half with a 29-22 lead heading into the locker room.
