Arkansas County – AR issued the following announcement on Dec. 6.
Governor Asa Hutchinson has called a special session of the Legislature to address potential income tax cuts and tax proposals. This presents an opportune time to show our support for Arkansas law enforcement by passing bills that did not reach the Governor’s desk earlier this year, including a bill that would give full-time law enforcement officers a tax credit of $3,000 to provide economic security for law enforcement working in one of the lowest paying states and to promote both retention and future recruitment. #ARcounties #arlawenforcement
