ARKANSAS COUNTY – AR: Flag of Arkansas to be flown at half-staff in tribute to the memory of Major Dean Douglas

Arkansas County – AR issued the following announcement on Dec. 1.

Governor Asa Hutchinson has directed the U.S. flag and the state flag of Arkansas to be flown at half-staff in tribute to the memory of Major Dean Douglas, a Navy veteran and first responder with Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services (MEMS).

Major Douglas was injured while responding to an emergency during the Little Rock Marathon. He passed away on Friday, Nov 26, 2021.

The state of Arkansas remembers and honors Major Douglas' bravery and service. Flags shall be lowered immediately and fly at half-staff until the day of internment on Dec. 1, 2021.
