Lakeside United Methodist Church issued the following announcement on Aug. 29.
The story of the Bible begins in a garden with access to the Tree of Life and it ends in a garden with access to the Tree of Life. In-between is the story of humanity outside of the garden, without access to the Tree of Life because we are bound by the power of sin and death. In order to get to the end of the story, there has to be a way back, and that story also centers around a garden and a tree.
