Lakeside United Methodist Church issued the following announcement on July 25.
The books of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Songs are all tied to the figure of Solomon in the Bible.
And like in the narratives of 1 Kings, we experience multiple sides to Solomon - the young optimist, the elder cynic, and even the ideal shepherd king that wasn’t.
But despite the varied perspectives, they all call us to one thing: the pursuit of Lady Wisdom.
