Monroe County ranked 15th in Arkansas for resident earnings in 2019

Monroe County ranked 15th among counties in Arkansas by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Monroe County residents was $22,568 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 3,333 households with a population of 7,050.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Benton County with $33,141 per year after adjusting for inflation – $10,573 more than Monroe County. It had 97,249 households with a population of 265,759.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was St. Francis County with $19,988 per year after adjusting for inflation – $2,580 less than Monroe County. It had 9,388 households with a population of 25,900.
