Jefferson County ranked 10th in Arkansas for resident earnings in 2019

Jefferson County ranked 10th among counties in Arkansas by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Jefferson County residents was $24,282 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 26,801 households with a population of 69,282.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Benton County with $33,141 per year after adjusting for inflation – $8,859 more than Jefferson County. It had 97,249 households with a population of 265,759.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was St. Francis County with $19,988 per year after adjusting for inflation – $4,294 less than Jefferson County. It had 9,388 households with a population of 25,900.
