Monroe County ranked 18th in Arkansas for resident earnings in 2018

Monroe County ranked 18th among counties in Arkansas by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Monroe County residents was $20,200 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 3,326 households with a population of 7,249.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Benton County with $32,305 per year after adjusting for inflation – $12,105 more than Monroe County. It had 94,333 households with a population of 258,980.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was St. Francis County with $19,056 per year after adjusting for inflation – $1,144 less than Monroe County. It had 9,319 households with a population of 26,294.
