Census Bureau: More women than men in Jefferson County in 2019

Of the 69,282 people living in Jefferson County in 2019, 50.5 percent (35,000) were women and 49.5 percent (34,282) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Lowe Delta News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 21,361-to-21,004. In the 65 and over age range, there were 6,591 females and 5,034 males.
