Of the 7,050 people living in Monroe County in 2019, 53.1 percent (3,742) were women and 46.9 percent (3,308) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Lowe Delta News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 2,085-to-1,879. In the 65 and over age range, there were 905 females and 704 males.
