Cost of college was unchanged for all students at the University of Arkansas at Monticello

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Arkansas residents paid $7,462 to attend the four-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-residents paid 78.4 percent more than residents this year, or $13,312. Their price tag was unchanged from $13,312 in 2017-18.

About 87 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Arkansas residents. And about 13 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 96 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 578 students received grants or scholarships totaling $4.2 million and 392 students took out student loans totaling more than $2 million.

Including all undergraduates (3,111), 2,549 students used grants or scholarships totaling $16.2 million, and 2,055 students took out $14 million in federal student loans.
