44 percent of applicants to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, 89 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 59 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Pine Bluff enrolled 2,579 students in fall 2018, including 2,473 in undergraduate and 106 in graduate programs, data shows. 5.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

58 percent of undergraduates are residents of Arkansas, and 41 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (91 percent) and white (4 percent).

The school admitted 44 percent of the 5,508 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 23 percent enrolled.
