MONTICELLO HIGH SCHOOL: Mask Will Be Required
0Comments

Monticello High School issued the following announcement on Jan. 10.

Monticello School District has been designated as PURPLE on the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement’s COVID-19 Data Map.

The Monticello School Board approved a Resolution on August 17, 2021, that Mask

requirements would be dependent upon the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement’s COVID-

19 Map at https://achi.net/covid19/. A designation of PURPLE on this map would move mask

wearing from Optional to Required. Masks will be worn only when indoors and on buses.

Please make masks readily available for your student (s).

As of today’s date, 1/10/2022, the Quarantine and Isolation Rules and Protocols have changed

for the School District.

1. Individuals who test positive for COVID must be isolated for five days.

They may return to school on the sixth day if they have no symptoms. They must

continue to wear a mask around others through the 10th day.

2. Students and Staff who are fully vaccinated will not be required to

quarantine.

3. Students and Staff who have had COVID within the last 90 days are not

required to quarantine.

Handwashing, using hand sanitizer, social distancing, wearing masks, and being vaccinated

remain the best ways to mitigate the spread of COVID.

Please do a home symptom check before sending your student to school. If they exhibit

symptoms, please keep them at home and contact your student’s nurse or the MSD COVID

hotline at 870-623-0907. MSD appreciates your support in our efforts to continue on-site

classes.

In the event that guidelines change, MSD will notify you immediately.
