Holy Child of Jesus Church – Dumas issued the following announcement on Dec. 12.

Start the New Year on a spiritual foundation. Fr. Cassian Elkins, OSB, will direct the New Year’s Evening of Recollection “Growing Closer to God: Secrets of the Interior Life” at Coury House, at Subiaco Abby, Dec. 31-Jan. 1. The retreat begins with lunch on Dec. 31 and ends with lunch on Jan. 1. There will be conferences, a chance for the sacrament of penance, prayers, EucharisticAdoration at midnight, and Masswith the monks and an early NewYear’s Eve celebration.
