Desha County Sheriff’s Office recently issued the following announcement.

Quad consist of two days worth of meeting and training for our sheriffs.
The ASA will book all rooms and you will be required to pay at check-in. Note: the ASA will NOT be responsible for any charges.
Sheriff’s Registration Fee: $100 (includes up to 2 guests and all events)
Guest Speakers: TBA

Lodging Information:
All Rooms will be booked through the ASA and will be assigned on a first come first basis due to limited space
Must pay for your rooms upon arrival to the Resort
Lodge rooms are a private hotel style room
River View Cabins have common living area (shared), each having 4 private bedrooms – downstairs with private bath and upstairs with shared bath
Pool View Cabins have 2 private bedrooms and baths

Cost:
All Lodge Rooms – $110 per night/single or $130 per night/double occupancy
All Cabins Rooms: $100 per night/single or $120 per night/double occupancy
Note: the above pricing does not included tax

A detainee at W.C. “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center died after a medical emergency on April 27. Staff provided immediate aid before transporting him for further treatment. An investigation into his death is underway.
